Tony Dawe aka 1701eh was a well-known and well-loved geocacher in Ontario who lost his life in an automobile accident in August 2006. Although I didn't have the fortune to personally meet 1701eh, I recall seeing him at the COG Spring Fling in April 2006 and recognized him as someone special (partly by the crowd around him).

This memorial coin was championed by res2100 with help from Landsharkz and others. This is the special "Ontario" version of the coin.
